We all got excited - and jealous - to hear that all attendees of the Google I/O conference received complimentary HTC / Google Ions (aka T-Mobile G2's) today. Now at least one lucky person can put their envy to rest. As you are reading this, one of these bad boys is up for sale on ebay. At a measly $1000.00 I'm sure this will be snatched up pretty quickly. (read: some idiot somewhere is already starting to bid on it.) I myself cannot ever see a situation wher eI spend a grand on a phone on ebay, tha I know can be mine a month or two down the line for probably $350.00. Unless, of course that phone has an Elvis shaped stain on the screen and I suddenly come into the money to buy that online casino I've never dreamed of owning. I have to admit...I like ION way better than mytouch-whatever.
But $1k? Damn. That's wilder than the PS2 prices were on launch day...

i just ordered my touch hd for 700 bucks and nearly died from price shock but 1K is just ridiculous.... beautiful phone but i'll wait for it to be subsidized..... i will just have to live with my shiny new Touch HD till then.......

i've wanted the touch hd since the second i saw it but i could never afford it. but, why get it now when a bunch of phones are coming out that out-class it? the phone did come out last year...

Im rocking an Omnia and an LX 09 right now and im getting kinda bored with them...... i need change and i havent had the HD yet so is seemed like a nice change.....

They have a few more on ebay now....I think the cheapest is with 6 days left at $200 something currently. ::
